SENSURA WEARABLE

What if we lived in a world where touch becomes obsolete? Fulfilling your social needs can purely happen digitally without the need of you having to actually meet people, right? How would this affect us in the long-term?

SPECULATIVE APPROACH:

Depict the speculative widespread touch deprivation syndrome (TDS), causing emotional and psychological distress. To counter TDS, a suit called "Sensura" is invented. Made of advanced skin imitations, it mimics human touch to rehabilitate those affected. Sensura's key innovation is an Atosiban delivery system, concealed in brass knobs on the suit. Touching these knobs activates a mask that releases Atosiban, a drug repurposed to suppress aversion to physical contact, thus aiding in coping with TDS.
